Comedian Shawn Wayans is days away from multiple San Antonio appearances, but he’s already planning for the laughs, food and sights.
The 46-year-old, who solidified his role as a heavyweight comedian with shows like In Living Color and The Wayans Brothers, went on to star in hits like Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, White Chicks and Scary Movie.
Wayans will be in San Antonio for a three-night stint at Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club, starting on Dec. 1.
The actor and comedian, who performed in town a little more than a year ago, said he’s ready for “all the laughs” San Antonians usually bring to his shows.

“It was a great turnout, great crowd — it was fun, that’s why I’m going back,” he said.
Wayans said most of his time away from the stage will be spent resting, working out and meeting with press, but aside from that, he’d try scouting out Tex-Mex food to indulge in and maybe take a tour through downtown to check out the holiday lights.
Aside from creating fresh content for his stand-up sets, Wayans is working on another project, The Boo Crew, animated specials for kids.
He credited shows like Fat Albert and Charlie Brown for life lessons he learned as a kid and as inspiration for his project.
“Those shows taught me a lot of life lessons, I wanted to create something like that for this generation,” he said, adding that creating shows for children can be “challenging,” considering his comedy contains adult humor.
Though The Boo Crew is kid-friendly, this weekend’s shows are not.
“That’s for grown folks only,” he said.
Guests must be 18 years or older to attend the show, according to the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club’s website.
Tickets for the shows are available on the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club’s website, ranging from $25 to $35, with 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:15 performances.
