The Soap Box Derby is a racing program for kids who drive motorless cars that are often made from scratch by the racers.
Races are held all over the country, including here locally in Marshall County on June 22.
Any area kids that might be interested in taking part in the race will have the opportunity to get a feel what it’s like to drive a derby car this weekend.
The Marshall County Soap Box Derby will be hosting a kids day at Grandview Park from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Several Cars will be provided for racers who do not have cars of their own. There are age divisions for racers ranging from eight years old up to 14.
