And what would that look like?

Kasich told New York he believes the GOP should be pro-environment and pro-immigrant — and has his eye on a complete overhaul of education.

According to the profile, he has retained a minimal campaign staff — who are said to be helping him choose whether to run as a Republican or as an Independent.

Kasich’s second term as Ohio’s governor ends in January 2019. He cannot run again because of the state’s limit of two consecutive terms, freeing him up for a potential 2020 presidential run.

Winter Weather Week: Prepping your car for winter driving – WBIR-TV

With winter approaching, you want to make sure your vehicle is ready to go.

We’ll start off inside your vehicle by putting together a winter survival kit.

In the kit you want to have some key items:

  • shovel and ice scraper
  • flashlight with extra batteries
  • matches and small candles
  • bottled water
  • snacks like protein bars or candy bars
  • blanket
  • road salt, sand or kitty litter for traction

This kit is something you can leave in the back of your vehicle in case of an emergency.

As for other ways to take care of the motor and exterior of your vehicle, we have Bunny Simmons with Advanced Auto Parts.

“You want to take care of your engine first because that is what gets you to where you want to go,” Simmons said. “The first thing we want to do is check the antifreeze. This is a little $2 tool that you can buy at any parts store to check your antifreeze. All you gotta do is put this in here, squeeze it like a turkey baster and it’s going to suck antifreeze up in there. How many balls are floating tells you to what temperatures your antifreeze is good to.”

Since the surgery is so complicated tadalafil 20mg españa it is also very expensive. Erectile dysfunction or ED occurs due to insufficient blood flow pdxcommercial.com cialis on line in to the penis during sexual stimulation. The product has been designed to cause an erection, which is why viagra wholesale uk getting an erection becomes difficult. If such drugs are consumed along with cheap viagra pill Visit This Link silagra, then the efficiency of providing result would fall deeply.

Simmons said it’s also important to clean out any leaves or debris that have collected under your hood.

“On any car, this is where the air is sucked in that goes through the heating system to pump air to the car and through the fall you get all these leaves and trash and little pieces of pine needles and just think, that’s being sucked into the car,” she said. “So always get all of this out of here so this is as clean as possible so you’ve got the most air flow and you’re not sucking all the mold and trash and stuff into the car.”

The other key thing to check as we head into winter is your tires.

“Third thing on the list is to make sure your tires are good to go because you sure don’t want to be out in the snow with bad tires,” Simmons said. “You can take a penny and turn Lincoln upside down and put it in the tread and if you can see all of Lincoln, all of his hair and everything, then you need new tires or you’re not going to get good traction in the snow.”

Even though we still have some time before winter weather hits, it’s best to start your preparations now.

Wild veteran Matt Cullen prepping for reunion with Penguins – TwinCities.com-Pioneer Press

Matt Cullen’s drive to work Friday morning was another reminder that he made the right choice when he decided to put off retirement and sign with the Wild this offseason.

While many Twin Cities residents were perhaps perturbed by the first snowfall of the year, the 40-year-old Cullen smiled when asked about it.

“It’s fun to see it,” said Cullen, a native of Virginia, Minn. “I don’t know that everybody is as excited. I love it.”

As far as Cullen is concerned, Minnesota will always have his heart. Not his full heart, though; part of that was left in Pittsburgh, where he won Stanley Cups with the Penguins the past two seasons.

“It was a second home for us,” he said. “It was awfully hard to say goodbye. … I absolutely loved my experience there. Just an unbelievable place to play.”

Cullen expects the emotions to come flooding back when the Wild take on the Penguins at 7 p.m. Saturday at Xcel Energy Center.

“It will be different on an emotional level,” said Cullen, who has played for eight teams in his 20-year NHL career. “Just seeing those guys again after everything that went on the last couple years will be fun.”

Cullen joked that his sons — Brooks, Wyatt and Joey — will likely be torn about which team to cheer for. They understandably grew quite fond of the Penguins over the past two years.

“It will be interesting to see what they’re wearing for jerseys,” Cullen said. “They had a pretty good setup in Pittsburgh and were at the rink an awful lot. Those guys are like a lot of uncles to them. It will be fun. They will be around.”

Cullen still keeps in touch with a lot of his former teammates and planned to hold dinner party at his house Friday night. When the puck drops on Saturday, though, those friendships go out the window.

At least for a few hours.

“I just look at it as another game in the season,” Cullen said. “They are obviously a very good team, so when the game starts, it’s a game.”

NIEDERREITER CLOSER

It took Nino Niederreiter about five minutes to catch his breath Friday after being bag skated into the ice after the conclusion of practice. Though he has skated with the team two days in a row, Niederreiter admitted that his wind isn’t where it was before he suffered a high ankle sprain that has kept him out of four games.

As for the practice, Niederreiter got some quality reps with Jason Zucker out for the birth of his son and Mikko Koivu and Matt Cullen getting maintenance days.

“It was good for me to double shift right away and get some momentum going and get a lot of touches and get some shots off,” Niederreiter said. “A practice like that, that’s what I need.”

Niederreiter said his ankle has responded well over the past couple of days.

“It was good, and even right now after the bag skate it still feels good,” he said. “We’ll see how tomorrow goes and go from there.”

Does that mean he might be able to play against the Penguins on Saturday?

“He’s getting better,” coach Bruce Boudreau said. “I don’t know if that’s the day or if Tuesday’s the day because ankle sprains are weird things. I guess it depends on him and his confidence and what (trainer) John (Worley) says and what (general manager) Chuck (Fletcher) says.

“We’ll be happy to have him back any time he can come back, I just don’t know the date that’s going to happen.”

Pregnant Kylie Jenner Is ‘Keeping Things Low-Key’ as She Preps for Baby Girl – Us Weekly

The Lip Kit queen is toning it down. While a source tells Us Weekly Kylie Jenner is “a bit relieved” that word of her pregnancy is out, she’s not yet ready to go public. Multiple sources confirm the 20-year-old is prepping quietly for the arrival of a baby girl, decorating a nursery and stocking up on necessities with the help of sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner.

“She’s been resting a lot and keeping things low-key,” reveals a pal. “Kylie has been exhausted lately.”

Boyfriend Travis Scott has been by her side at home, and multiple sources note that “things are going well,” for the 25-year-old rapper and the makeup mogul. “They’re extremely sweet and very, very happy,” one tells Us. “They’re doting and kind with each other. It’s cool to see.” But that doesn’t mean they’re making concrete plans to shack up together just yet: Notes another source, “Who knows what the future holds for them, but he really cares about her and vice versa.”

The pair stepped out October 15, joining sis Kendall Jenner and Blake Griffin on a double date at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. Says an onlooker, “Both couples were almost always holding hands or had their arms around each other.”

During her pregnancy, Jenner has also been leaning on fellow mom-to-be Khloé Kardashian, who an insider reveals “has been her rock.” The sisters “are now in this journey together and are so elated to be pregnant at the same time. They both couldn’t be happier.” Recently, the two appeared in a video promoting their Kylie Cosmetics collaboration in which Jenner jokes, “We have so many babies, who knew?”

Hackers Prepping IOTroop Botnet with Exploits – Threatpost

Hackers moved one step closer to launching full-scale DDoS attacks using millions of IoT devices herded into the botnet known as Reaper or IOTroop.

Researchers at NewSky Security warn that hackers are swapping scripts on forums that can scan the internet for vulnerable IoT devices and dump default or weak credentials from them.

“This is an important next step for hackers who have taken the concept of an attack and turned it into the foundation of a real one,” said Ankit Anubhav, principal security researcher at NewSky Security.

Anubhav’s investigation led him to an underground forum where a pair of hackers demonstrated a script that exploited a vulnerability in a China-built wireless camera resold by many vendors.

“(The hackers) have scripts related to a weaponized CVE-2017-8225 exploit along with screenshots of the script in action,” Anubhav wrote in a blog post explaining his research.

NewSky Security’s research adds to Check Point’s previous IOTroop research published last week that warned the botnet (and corresponding malware) was recruiting a global army of connected devices.

In its report, Check Point warned that one million IoT devices were already infected with IOTroop malware and 60 percent of corporate networks contained a device vulnerable to one of several vulnerabilities exploitable by adversaries behind the malware. NewSky Security said attackers have moved beyond recruiting bots and are actively developing attack scripts.

The IOTroop malware targets poorly protected connected devices such as routers and wireless IP cameras manufactured by D-Link, TP-Link, Avtech, Netgear, MikroTik, Linksys, Synology and GoAhead. But because IOTroop doesn’t just exploit default credentials to compromise devices, as did Mirai, it has the potential to do more damage exploiting nearly a dozen vulnerabilities.

Last year, a Mirai botnet attack flooded DNS provider Dyn causing several well-known websites to go dark for hours.

In his investigation Anubhav said he reviewed two IOTroop scripts made available by hackers including one that exploited CVE-2017–8225, a known bypass authentication vulnerability affecting the wireless IP cameras.

You likely don’t get enough sleep and your cialis tabs nutrition is probably deficient as well. It is very excellent to maintain levitra low cost an active routine. “The first script uses a Shodan query to dump all IP addresses that are devices vulnerable to CVE-2017–8225 by using a known Shodan dork (query),” NewSKy wrote in its report. “Now once all vulnerable IPs are collected, the second script uses CVE-2017–8225 to dump credentials for these devices.”

“This combination will help script kiddies to take control over a variety of IoT devices without worrying about two important questions: where (to find devices, which can be hacked) and how (to hack these devices),” the report said.

It was also observed that although the thread in hacking forums started first with scripts which will reveal compromised IOT credentials, it soon shifted toward development of a fully functional botnet which can be propagated. The attackers discussed their inability to perform WGET command, and replaced it with a functional netcat to perform a reverse shell. This was also observed in devices infected by IOTroop by both Check Point and NewSky researchers.

The one piece missing is scale. According to Anubhav, 117,055 devices are vulnerable to CVE-2017-8225. To effectively reach those devices, hackers needed access to Shodan Premium to scale the recruitment and to weaponize vulnerable IoT devices.

“We noted the exploit author asking for Shodan credentials, and claiming that if he can get access to Shodan Premium, he will set up a botnet for any purpose,” the researcher said. “Soon we observed that a fellow attacker agreed to share his Shodan credentials with the attacker if it will help him form the botnet. Here onward the thread goes silent. No questions asked, no updates.”

Anubhav said, while the CVE-2017-8225 vulnerability was already known, using the Shodan search engine to find vulnerable devices lowers the bar for an attack.

“A huge number of devices vulnerable via CVE-2017-8225 were simply visible in Shodan, just waiting to be attacked. Without any security or patch, they are now vulnerable to become part of the IoTroop botnet,” Anubhav said.

The identity of the hackers behind the scripts are unknown. According to Anubhav, the two have a number of different aliases and use accounts that trace back to several countries scattered around the globe making it impossible to determine a country of origin.

Apple’s most advanced iPhone will become available to pre-order on Friday. USA TODAY

LOS ANGELES — Apple CEO Tim Cook came to Chicago to help christen a new Apple Store, and ended up talking potential successors.

“I see my role as CEO to prepare as many people as I can to be CEO, and that’s what I’m doing. And then the board makes a decision at that point in time,” Cook said, in an interview with BuzzFeed News

For the BuzzFeed video chat, Cook sat side by side with Angela Ahrendts, the former Burberry CEO who runs Apple’s retail division, and has been mentioned as a potential future Apple CEO.

Ahrendts called reports that she could be in the running to be the next CEO “fake news,” and “silly” to BuzzFeed.

Cook, 56, joined Apple in 1998 as senior vice-president of worldwide operations, rising to chief operating officer. He was named CEO In August, 2011, when co-founder Steve Jobs stepped down due to illness. Jobs died three months later, in October, a few days after the introduction of the iPhone 4S.

While Cook would be considered rather young to retire, some longtime Apple watchers have speculated that he could be interested in a future career in politics. He has been more outspoken politically than previous Apple CEOs. Cook has denied future political plans.

Otherwise, Cook talked about the new iPhone X, which begins pre-sales Friday at 3 a.m. ET, and addressed reports that supply will be constrained.

“We’ll see what happens,” was his response to the question, and then he added, “We’ll be working as hard as possible to make as many as possible.”

Red Bulls prepping for MLS playoffs – Metro US

HANOVER, N.J. – After a winless September, the New York Red Bulls righted the ship over the past two games, just in time for the playoffs. But given heavy squad rotation anticipated for Sunday’s match at DC United, perhaps they risk losing their good vibes if they don’t get a positive result.

It is something that the Red Bulls and head coach Jesse Marsch need to guard against.

With a Knockout Round game a given for next week, the Red Bulls are going to sit or rest several influential members of their team at DC.  It makes sense as it isn’t much for them to gain from this match as they are locked in as a sixth seed and can use this weekend to not only rest players but also as a way to get some sharpness for a few of their bench options.

Yet given their tough road in September, the last two games in October where they’ve gotten a win and a draw was a step in the right direction. They may want to rest some players but also the Red Bulls can’t risk a bad result that could eradicate the steps forward from the last two games. Momentum, after all, is crucial heading into the postseason.

“Our key has been to be really focused, concentrated and locked-in on how we want to play and what we want to be,” Marsch said.

“Regardless of who is on the field, we always want to play our way. It will be a little bit different and gives us potential to set us ourselves up to be really ready for the playoffs. We want these points, we need these points for multiple reasons but more than anything, to make sure that every guy is ready to go and looking sharp and ready for some big matches.”

Marsch called this fixture a “building block” with the playoffs just around the corner. The Red Bulls as a team aren’t concerned about the idea that resting some players will hurt them come the postseason.

“It’s possible but I think the way we’re looking at the playoffs and the first round because September was such an emotionally and physically draining month, there may be some aftereffect there,” goalkeeper Luis Robles said.

“Our last two games we’ve played have been against good opponents and for the most part I think – looking at the performances and the results – there have been a lot of positives there – so we feel good giving minutes to other guys and having those guys come in fresh come the playoffs.”
